Role Description:

The Operations Coordinator role is a seasonal role responsible for overseeing the logistical operations of our end-of-semester move-out and beginning-of-semester return services. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the successful incumbent will oversee hiring and management of movers, assist with driving the moving truck as needed, and handle the boxes to ensure a stress-free moving process for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all moving activities during peak times (end-of semester move-out and start-of-semester return) Develop and execute a schedule for pickup, storage, and return of students' belongings Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training a team of movers to support peak operational times Supervise the team to ensure efficiency and safety during all moves Create and manage a schedule for the team of movers Keep accurate records of all belongings in the storage facility Organize the storage facility to ensure optimal usage of space and item retrieval Serve as a point of contact for students, addressing any questions or concerns regarding their belongings. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through prompt communication and problem resolution.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in logistics, operations, or a similar role, preferably in a moving or storage context. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift and move boxes and furniture. Valid driver's license; experience driving larger vehicles is a plus. Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach.
