Key responsibilities
Warehouse
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
Stage orders by route, customer, and temperature zone
Maintain high standards for packing quality (correct items, quality checks, labeling)
Keep the warehouse organized: bins, staging areas, coolers/freezers, packing stations
Support daily cleaning routines and end-of-day resets
Help with periodic deeper cleaning and food safety tasks as assigned
Receiving and inventory
Receive inbound product (count, quality check, temperature/cold-chain checks where applicable)
Label and put product away correctly (rotation, FIFO, storage standards)
Support inventory checks and cycle counts (especially Fridays)
Flag issues early: shortages, quality concerns, missing product, receiving discrepancies
Delivery driving
Drive a short delivery route Tuesday-Thursday (typically
3-5 hours/day
)
Load van safely and efficiently; secure product for transport
Deliver on time and follow delivery instructions (access notes, drop locations, signatures/photos as required)
Handle delivery exceptions calmly: customer not available, access issues, returns
Keep van clean and report maintenance issues promptly
Team support
Work closely with the Purchasing Manager (who supervises warehouse flow and substitutions)
Coordinate with drivers to keep dispatch smooth
Be reliable for coverage when volume spikes or schedules compress (weather weeks, holiday periods)
What success looks like (90-day outcomes)
Orders packed accurately with low error/complaint rate
Delivery staging is clean and predictable (no chaos piles)
Receiving is consistent and organized (product put away correctly, issues flagged fast)
