Operations & Equipment ManagerJOB SUMMARYThe Operations & Equipment Manager, under limited guidance from the COO, is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of Kindred and MBR Tools operations. In this role, you will support business processes, maintain information and records, develop and maintain department technology applications, and work with different teams across the companies to enable successful outcomes.The Operations & Equipment Manager plays a key role in both Kindred Construction and MBR Tools implementation strategy, making it critical that you can adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs and be proactive in identifying areas of need, and generating action plans.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: MBR Tools

  • Responsible for implementing inventory strategy
  • Assist in setting up proper inventory management tool (rental inventory software) for MBR Tools
  • Create an order process flow chart and work with the General Superintendent to train and disseminate information to the Site Superintendents.
  • Drive both revenue and margin growth for MBR Tools; develop and maintain best business practices and review customer metrics in real time.
  • Process all site inquiries/orders/off rentals, ensuring right equipment is delivered/picked up efficiently
  • Work closely with site Superintendents, Project Managers, Coordinators to understand their tools and equipment needs
  • Input rental orders and returns in rental software
  • Track/Monitor outstanding rentals
  • Communicate with Tools & Equipment Coordinator and site teams to ensure efficiency of materials to site
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Equipment Maintenance Schedule
  • Coordinate servicing of rental equipment with Tools & Equipment Coordinator or third party vendor.

  • Vendor/wholesaler sourcing for equipment purchasing
  • Business development for internal rentals within Kindred
  • Identify all projects, contacts and equipment needs (present and future)
  • Create proactive approach to rental needs
  • Cultivate key vendor relationships
  • Identify opportunities for increasing efficiency within MBR Tools
  • Conduct on-site equipment assessment's ensuring site' needs are being met
Kindred Construction
  • Act as liaison between MBR Tools and Kindred Construction, providing expertise, guidance and support for Kindred teams to better utilize MBR Tools.
  • Ensure technology tools are properly configured and operated to support internal processes
  • Act as the system administrator, primary point of contact and liaison between companies and Nucleus Networks for support requests related to IT.
  • Responsible for oversight and tracking of the Strategic Plan, ensuring all projects undertaken align with our strategic goals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Completed post-secondary education in business, logistics, operations, or other related discipline, or equivalent applicable work experience
  • Effective organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective oral and written communication skills paired with an ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and anticipate stakeholder needs
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve workflows
  • Ability to interpret and report statistical data to manage resources effectively
  • Strong planning, execution and decision-making skills. Good knowledge of Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
