Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Operation supervisor starting immediately in Ottawa. As the Operation supervisor you will be responsible for
  • Overseeing and coordinating the day to day operations of tours and rentals and ensuring that the business is running smoothly
  • Providing outstanding hospitable experiences for the guests and walk in customers
  • Coordinate bike tour preparation and administration (greeting customers, bike fitting, signing waiver documents, processing payments)
  • Coordinating staff and guides schedules
  • Supervise staff performance
  • Process bike rental check ins; fit customers to bikes and explain how their bikes work; Explain rules of the road and safe biking techniques
  • Operating POS system and customer check out; ensure the smooth operation of customer check-outs at the cash register
  • Open and close the shop
  • Responding to customers? inquiries coming through phone, email, and third-party partner
  • Keeping track of inventory and reservations
  • Occasionally leading the tours if interested (training would be provided).
Requirements and qualifications
  • 1 year of previous supervisory experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
  • Excellent people and relationship building skills, team player with a positive attitude
  • Planning, organizational and tracking skills and attentive to details
  • Resourceful with an ability to multitask and coordinate multiple inquiries
  • Previous sales/customer services experience and commitment to providing exceptional and high quality service
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts: (Weekends, Holidays, Days).
Availability and Schedule: Our busiest times are weekends and holidays including long weekends. You may be required to work a varying work schedule in order to meet the needs of the business. This could include working on weekends, especially long weekends. You will have weekdays off in lieu of working weekends.
