Overview

We are seeking a skilled Oil Burner Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and have experience in servicing, maintaining, and repairing oil burner systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and efficiently in various environments, ensuring that all systems operate safely and effectively.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair oil burner systems in residential and commercial settings. Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Troubleshoot issues related to heating systems, including HVAC and refrigeration units. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose problems accurately. Perform equipment repairs on boilers, air conditioning units, and other related appliances. Execute field service tasks while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with other technicians to complete complex service calls efficiently. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during repairs.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience as a mechanic or in construction-related fields. Proficiency in HVAC design principles and practices, including ammonia refrigeration systems. Familiarity with plumbing systems and their integration with heating equipment. Experience using tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics. Ability to perform welding tasks as needed for equipment repair or installation. Knowledge of property maintenance techniques related to heating systems. Background in appliance repair with a focus on oil burners and HVAC/R systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
