Reporting to the Director of Lil'wat Child and Family Services, the Operations Manager will oversee the continued safe and efficient operations of the Lil'wat Child and Family Services (LCFS), including oversight of the support staff for the building (i.e., Receptionists and Custodians).
Key Deliverables and Expectations
Implements and oversees daily operations procedures for all LCFS staff, including contractors and consultants.
Hire, train, and manage, Receptionists and Custodians.
Monitors operations budget including income and expenditures, authorizes expenditures within approved spending limit, and administers budgets following policies and procedures.
Completes all required reporting.
Oversees and authorizes purchases of supplies and equipment, including computer equipment.
Oversees asset management including staff management of LCFS physical assets such as equipment, and supplies.
Creates and maintains a building cleaning plan, maintenance plan, and operations plan to ensure building sustainability.
Manages the room rentals, cleaning inventory and purchases and building key inventory.
Liaises with maintenance contractors to ensure all systems are fully functional and operating at maximum efficiency.
Develops, implements and responds to after-hours on-call system with buildings.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Experience and Attributes:
University degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must have 3 years of management experience with a willingness to learn.
Super Host training and Building Service Worker 1 - 3 training are assets.
Previous experience as an Operations/Office Manager, Office Administrator, Custodian, or Carpenter are assets.
Advanced data management & computer skills, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and time management skills.
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain confidentiality.
Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
Highly professional in all aspects of business, presentation, and interaction with all stakeholders, clients, and Members.
Must be able to work the occasional evening and weekend.
Must be able to lift 25lbs.
Certification in First Aid, WHMIS and Fall Protection an asset.
Knowledge and interest in Lil'wat Nation territory, culture, and history an asset.
Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License, a clean Driver's Abstract, and a reliable vehicle.
