Position Summary:
Ensure the continuity of multiple initiatives relating to waste management, energy conservation, and student engagement. Primary liaison with the student residents that sit on the ERC as well as the SSMU and the McGill Office of Sustainability. Provides critical administrative assistance to the Facilities department in several improvement projects. Coordinating the programs mentioned above, pursue further sustainability initiatives, including some proposed by student residents at SHHS. Researching environmentally responsible solutions for decisions made by the facilities department, act as a coordinator for certain improvements projects, assist in standardizing waste signage in residence, and performing other tasks required.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
Proven track record in organizational. Strong computer and office skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Additional Information:
Temporary job for the period August 27, 2023 to September 7, 2024. Hours worked during academic year 10-15 hours per week; during summer period 30 hours per week. Hourly wage: $21.00/hour.
