British Columbia Conservation Foundation

is seeking an energetic, organized and adaptable person to fill the fast-paced role in project management. The ideal candidate will possess both work and life experience in the natural environment and enjoys working on financial budgets. This ideally includes education in accounting and administration. The individual brings a positive can-do attitude to the job, as well as a willingness to learn, adapt and respond quickly while maintaining a high standard of attention to detail. This is an office-based position.

Responsibilities




The

Office Administrator

will primarily support the team in Kamloops and also the Board of Directors. The successful candidatewill coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to organizational policies.


Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data. Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.). Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures. Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary. Submit timely reports (e.g. Annual Report) and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned. Update organizational polices as required. Manage logistical arrangements, meeting agendas and materials for the Board of Directors. Attend and take notes at quarterly Board of Director Meetings. Enhance and maintain social media platforms. Assist colleagues when necessary.

Qualifications




Education and Experience




University and/or college degree in business administration, communications, non-profit management or relevant field. Familiarity with office management procedures and accounting principles. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite and office management software. Policies and procedures in a variety of administrative programs. Experience in developing digital graphics, publications and social media.

Attention to detail and ability to manage a rapidly-fluctuating workload. Ability to plan and organize effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to be proactive in identifying and addressing issues. Passionate about equity, diversity and inclusion with the interest to support purposeful change. Excellent written and spoken English language skills. Other language skills are an asset.
