Southwood Care Centre


Position Type:

Temporary, Full Time (1.0 FTE)


Hours of Work:

8:30 am to 4:30 pm


Salary:

$18.80 - $24.32 depending on the experience




Position Summary:




Assist in scheduling, preparing and implementing therapeutic programs which support Intercare's philosophy of meeting the holistic needs of the customers, as directed. Maintain appropriate records of planned programs and attendance. Documents care, programs and interactions as required on the resident's health care record. Participate in outings and other special events. Demonstrate respect to all customers, by working with them in a calm, courteous manner..



Qualifications:





Candidates must have a certificate from a recognized Therapeutic Assistant Program.



A minimum of two years of experience in a Continuing Care setting is required.

Preference is given to applicants with work experience related to cognitively impaired persons.

Preference is given to applicants with training in programs related to rehabilitation, recreation, or nursing for healthcare workers.

Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language

Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined
