We are seeking a qualified and professional
Occupational Therapist (OT)
to join our growing rehabilitation practice as an
Independent Contractor
, providing assessment and treatment services to individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents (MVA).
This is a casual/part-time hybrid position involving in-home client visits and remote documentation, supported by a structured administrative and clinical system.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive
initial occupational therapy assessments
for MVA clients
Complete Assessment of Attendant Care Needs (Form 1) and Treatment Plans (OCF-18) through HCAI
Provide functional, goal-oriented, and person-centered occupational therapy treatment
Develop individualized care plans based on client needs and insurer requirements
Maintain accurate, timely, and professional clinical documentation using the company's online documentation system
Communicate effectively with clients, families, insurers, and rehabilitation team members
Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
Registration and good standing with the
College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
Valid
professional liability insurance
Access to a
reliable vehicle
and valid driver's license
Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a community-based setting
Experience with MVA rehabilitation and HCAI documentation is an asset; however,
training and mentorship are available
Assets:
Fluency in
Spanish
or another language
Prior experience in community rehabilitation or auto insurance sectors
