motor vehicle accident (MVA) assessments and rehabilitation
. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting patients in regaining functional independence following accident-related injuries.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive
occupational therapy assessments for MVA-related injuries
, including physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and functional evaluations.
Complete
in-home and clinic-based assessments
, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans aligned with patient goals and insurer requirements.
Provide functional interventions to improve mobility, self-care, safety, and independence.
Prepare
timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
, including assessment reports, progress notes, and discharge summaries for insurance and legal purposes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and case managers.
Participate in discharge planning and provide recommendations for assistive devices, home modifications, and return-to-work or daily activity planning.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as required, and ensure continuity of care.
Maintain professional standards in accordance with regulatory college guidelines and clinic policies.
Requirements
Valid
Occupational Therapist licensure
in the applicable jurisdiction (e.g., College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario).
Experience conducting
MVA assessments and treatment
is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in
outpatient clinic and home-based care settings
.
Strong background working with individuals recovering from injury, trauma, or chronic pain.
Excellent knowledge of
anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
relevant to occupational therapy practice.
Ability to develop comprehensive, goal-oriented care plans and functional recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for clinical reporting and insurer correspondence.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative healthcare team.
Reliable transportation for home visits is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
