Wonderspeak, an award-winning service provider, is growing quickly and this is your chance to be a part of something special! We have built a team of reputable professionals and we need an awesome Occupational Therapist to join our family!

We are seeking an enthusiastic OT to provide client-centered, neurodiversity-affirming care to children of varying ages (infant, toddler, pre-school, school-aged and teenagers). The successful candidate will assess clients, develop care-plans and provide therapy in our downtown clinics.

Wonderspeak is a women-led organization, founded by a woman of colour, that focuses on neurodiversity-affirming therapy while encouraging diversity in all of our locations and practices. We provide comprehensive therapy using a multi-dimensional approach. We offer in-person therapy out of two clinics in downtown Toronto, as well as virtual and in-home/in-school therapy.

As an Occupational Therapist at Wonderspeak, the chosen candidate will:

Assess.

Use appropriate tools to assess motor skills, sensory-processing and regulation, Activities of Daily Living, and pediatric feeding.

Develop Goals & Plan.

Using assessment results, create client-centered goals that combine client needs and evidence-based therapy.

Treat

. Implement fun and engaging, evidence-based therapy that improves motor skills, self-regulation, social skills and independence, all while empowering caregivers with education around strategies and tools to facilitate carryover.

Supervise

. Conduct Supervision of an Occupational Therapy Assistant, including adhering to Wonderspeak protocol for supervision.

Collaborate

. Work closely with other therapists and professionals, to ensure collaborative and comprehensive care.

Document.

Diligently maintain accurate chart records using our EHR system.

Experience and Qualifications



Graduate from a Master's of Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current registration In Good Standing, with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) 3+ years experience preferred Experience with ASD clientele is a necessity Saturday availability is an asset Ability to collaborate effectively with families, clients, other professionals and team members Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Recent vulnerable sector screening
