We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. Duties
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to determine therapy needs.
Develop personalized treatment plans aimed at improving functional abilities related to daily living and work activities.
Implement therapeutic interventions such as exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to promote recovery.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
Document patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations.
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety precautions, and adaptive equipment use.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care effectively.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy environment adhering to infection control standards.
Requirements
Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant state or region.
Prior hospital experience is preferred, especially in acute care settings.
Experience with case management and pediatrics is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of patient care principles, medical terminology, and rehabilitation techniques.
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including children and adults.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
