Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients of all ages to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. This position is based in a hospital setting, primarily focusing on acute care and pediatrics. Responsibilities: - Conduct assessments to evaluate patients\' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities - Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients\' needs and goals - Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients\' motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration - Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive patient care - Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment to enhance daily living activities - Monitor patients\' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary - Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries Experience: - Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program - Current state license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist - Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical terminology and case management - Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals Skills: - Proficient in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans - Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions - Ability to provide patient-centered care with empathy and compassion - Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation requirements - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
