Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our healthcare team in a supervisory role. The successful candidate will provide clinical oversight to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs), ensuring high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based care for pediatric clients, including children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role emphasizes mentorship, documentation review, and collaborative planning to support optimal client outcomes within a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

Provide clinical supervision to Occupational Therapy Assistants, ensuring services align with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Review, edit, and approve OTA documentation, including treatment notes and progress reports, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance. Conduct regular (weekly) supervision meetings with OTAs to discuss caseloads, clinical reasoning, goal progression, and professional development. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support coordinated, client-centred care. Ensure ethical practice and quality assurance across all supervised services.

Skills

Must be registered and in good standing with the

College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).

Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to mentor and support OTAs effectively. Excellent documentation review and editing skills, with a strong attention to detail. In-depth knowledge of

pediatric occupational therapy

, including experience with ASD populations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional collaboration and supervision. Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage supervision responsibilities efficiently. Compassionate, professional approach with a commitment to high-quality client care and team development.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $80.00-$125.00 per hour
