We provide inclusive daycare and early learning programs that support developmental growth for all children, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct developmental screenings and functional assessments for children aged 18 months-6 years. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support sensory, motor, and adaptive skill development. Provide hands-on therapy in individual and small-group settings within the daycare environment. Collaborate closely with educators to integrate therapeutic goals into daily routines and classroom activities. Provide guidance and workshops for parents and staff on child development, sensory strategies, and self-regulation. Document progress and maintain clear, accurate, and confidential records. Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions on child development and programming.

Qualifications & Requirements



Required:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Registration and good standing with the appropriate provincial college Experience working with children in early childhood or pediatric settings. Knowledge of sensory integration, developmental milestones, and play-based therapy approaches. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both children and adults.

Preferred:



Previous experience in daycare, preschool, or early intervention programs. Training or certification in sensory processing, DIR/Floortime, or similar approaches. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., speech therapists, educators, psychologists). CPR and First Aid certification.
