Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part time Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, particularly in acute care settings, and have experience working with pediatric populations. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance their ability to perform daily activities.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and goals. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, activities, and modalities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient management and care coordination. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, progress, and strategies for improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with medical standards. Stay updated on current best practices in occupational therapy and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist. Previous hospital experience preferred, particularly in acute care settings. Familiarity with medical terminology and case management processes. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
