EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc. is seeking a forward-thinking

Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator

to help promote a culture of safety and a positive work environment. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated OHS professional to not only contribute to our current safety programs but to also grow with us and develop into a future OHS Manager. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Occupational Health and Safety, assisting in the coordination, management, and strategic development of our comprehensive OHS Programs.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:



Assisting with the implementation and on-going administration of EDI's occupational health and safety program.

Partnering with the OHS Director to contribute to the continual improvement and strategic development of the OHS manual and other key safety documentation through technical writing and policy review.

Analyzing safety statistics to identify leading indicators and themes for program development, and reporting on project statuses to the OHS Director.

Taking a lead role in supporting the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee as required.

Managing OHS client approval systems such as ISNetworld and providing proposal support for project managers.

Championing health and safety awareness among all employees with a focus on injury prevention and proactive safety measures.

Performing other related duties as assigned



We are looking for someone with:



Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills

The ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, take initiative on projects, and manage competing deadlines

Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and continual improvement

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely

Job requirements include



Successful completion of a one-year Occupational Health and Safety Certificate from an accredited institute.

A minimum of 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A valid Class 5 driver's licence

The typical compensation range for this position is from $69,000 - $110,000 annually; the compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
