required for the YMCA Childcare Centre in

Coldbrook

. Hours to be determined with some flexibility. Monday to Friday only.

Some responsibilities include:

Prepare nutritious meals for childcare children (up to 63 children ages 4 months - 5 years old) Ordering appropriate amount of food items and supplies from the grocery store and suppliers To abide by the YMCA Mission statement, YMCA Personnel policies and work description Light to moderate physical duties ie. standing for long period of time, kneeling, picking up of children/bulk food supplies, etc. Responsible for light cleaning and organization of kitchen and entire centre
Requirements:

Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate

Current Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry check, or willing to obtain

Current Food Handler's certificate is a MUST

Knowledge of food preparation Must be able to work in Canada, and living within commuting distance or relocating prior to start date

Valid Nova Scotia Driver's License or access to reliable transportation

Working knowledge and experience with NS Childcare Licensing Act and Regulations as well as Canada's Food Guide (an asset but not required)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $17.34 per hour
