Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team Coordinate patient care Evaluate patient care and progress Implement an interdisciplinary plan of care Interpret medical test results Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests Perform diagnostic tests Plan patient care Provide end-of-life counselling and bereavement support to patients and their families Advise patients on drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs Ensure infection control Support and facilitate the grieving process for the patient and their family Care for, assess and monitor the health of newborns and refer infants to appropriate medical services as required Provide primary, full-course, care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-natal period including monitoring the health of mother and baby Advise patients on health care Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases Provide health maintenance education
