Job Description

The North Channel Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic is currently recruiting for a full time Nurse Practitioner. This is a hybrid position with two days per week in Thessalon and three days remotely for video medicine and administrative work.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse Practitioner with a valid Extended Class Certification of Registration with The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing. Advanced knowledge and decision-making skills in healthcare assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic disease. Carry out a full scope of practice and work alongside a talented team of health professionals to deliver quality care. Proven ability to provide excellent care within a multidisciplinary team. PRIMARY CARE NURSE PRACTITIONER
Highly developed critical thinking, efficient time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and interdependently within an interdisciplinary team. Commitment to the professional and organizational vision as it pertains to clinical practice and patient care. Innate ability to act as a resource and role model. Effective team building skills and be able to promote and support positive working relationships with all staff. Ability to manage a critical situation using advanced critical thinking skills and a calm, therapeutic approach. Demonstrated ability within the nurse/client relationship to care for patients as unique individuals whose goals, values, and point of view may differ from those of the caregiver.
