We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
As a Nurse Practitioner in Diagnostic Imaging, you will play an essential role in patient assessments, screening programs, imaging coordination, and overall patient experience. You will collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, efficient, and seamless care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and review medical histories
Order MRI, CT, ultrasound, and blood work as part of screening programs
Perform simple procedures, such as joint injections (if within scope)
Review and discuss imaging results with radiologists, and support treatment planning
Educate patients and families on preparation, procedures, risks, and after-care
Maintain accurate, complete, and timely clinical documentation
Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals
Ensure all clinical activities align with regulatory guidelines and safe practice standards
Qualifications
Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
Current Nurse Practitioner license in Ontario (or eligible)
NP certification in Adult/Primary Health preferred
IVS certification is an asset
Experience in diagnostic imaging, primary care, or screening programs is an advantage
Strong clinical assessment, triage, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
