As a Nurse Practitioner in this dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, you will play a pivotal role in delivering patient- and family-centered oncology care, with a specialized focus on urological cancers. In this clinically focused role, you will collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and manage treatment for adult patients with complex urological cancers, including advanced prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers. Your scope of practice will include: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Prescribing medications, blood products, and diagnostic imaging agents. Recommending medical devices and therapies. Performing procedures and interventions as required. You will apply advanced knowledge of acute and chronic illness to support oncology care across multiple tumor groups, with a particular emphasis on urology. As a clinical leader, you will champion evidence-based practices and contribute to the development of care frameworks and strategies that enhance patient outcomes and quality of life. Description:
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a full range of comprehensive health services to individuals across their lifespan. You will be responsible for integrating clinical skills associated with nursing and medicine to assess, diagnose, order, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe treatment, and perform procedures to manage and meet the health needs of patients. Additionally, you will utilize advanced practice nursing competencies related to Clinical Practice, Leadership and Optimizing Health Systems, Education, and Research to increase care quality, promote appropriate use of health services, and inform and influence healthcare systems. Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, with a minimum of a Master's degree. Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) on the Nurse Practitioner Registrar, including Provisional Graduate Nurse Practitioner licensure. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of adult acute clinical experience as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, including willingness to pursue additional education or certifications relevant to oncology and urological care. Strong communication, organizational, and systems-thinking skills. Proven critical thinking abilities and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated leadership, time management, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to build effective working relationships across the continuum of care.

Preferred Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner experience in oncology, particularly in the management of advanced prostate cancer and other urological malignancies. Experience in ambulatory care settings and/or internal medicine. Completion of Canadian oncology nursing certifications or oncology-related coursework. Prior RN experience in oncology across a variety of tumor groups. Familiarity with Alberta's electronic health systems, including Connect Care and Netcare.
