Nurse Practitioner
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose health conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide case management.
- Educate patients and their families on preventive healthcare measures and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Ontario.
- Proven experience in providing patient care in various settings such as medical offices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and retrieval of patient information.
