Nuclear Medicine Technologist with expertise in cardiac imaging
to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures , as well as assist in
stress testing protocols
. This role plays a vital part in supporting our cardiology and nuclear medicine services by providing high-quality, patient-centered care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your expertise will assist in the detection and treatment of various medical conditions, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging and therapeutic purposes.
Operate specialized imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images.
Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and provide accurate reports.
Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and radiopharmaceutical inventory.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials.
Educate patients about the procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment.
Skills
Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and understand patient needs.
Strong attention to detail for accurate imaging and record-keeping.
Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of safety standards related to radiation exposure and patient care.
