Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology).
Your unit's main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.

What you will learn and contribute to

Network Service Platform (NSP) Automation Solution Architect

The Services Business Unit's Global Network Management Engineering team provides Professional Services in support of real-world deployments of advance solutions across the IP/Optical Network (ION) Business Line product portfolio

The team is seeking a highly skilled Network Service Platform Automation Solution Architect to provide professional services to Nokia's customer base. The candidate in this role will be required to work in a consultative manner directly with customers, project managers, sales engineers, business development, commercial and technical teams to deliver projects.

Your skills and experience

  • Engage with Sales Engineers, Business Development, regional RBC and Project Managers to gain understanding of the overall project intent and goals.
  • Conduct needs analysis workshops with customers to gain in-depth details of business needs, specific use cases and expected project outcomes.
  • Document established understanding of the project goals and requirements; and share the understanding between customer and project teams.
  • Keep connected with product and services unit product managers to understand product and service roadmap and directions; stay informed about the latest product features and service offerings.
  • Keep a regular contact with product teams and suggest strategies, initiatives and remedies for existing or new products or product features.
  • Review existing business risks related to the implementation of solution design and ensures that such risks are mitigated.
  • Work with technical and commercial teams to outline project solution (solution architecture), suggest product components and service offerings to deliver on the project - strive to propose and design a viable solution that will yield a return on investment for the business unit.
  • Assist sales, account and commercial teams in drafting statement of work for a commercial offer of the proposed solution.
  • Provide direction, assistance and answer questions to customers and Nokia project delivery teams; ensure project scope is maintained and solution implemented.
  • Serve as a liaison for cross business unit customer projects.
Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecom, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • IP, Virtualization, SDN and OSS training / certification is an asset.
  • The successful candidate will have strong technical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills as well as being energetic, results oriented and will have knowledge and experience with some or all the following areas:
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience with IP/Optical networking, OSS, and SDN technologies and business, to be able to lead technical and business discussions with internal and customers experts
  • Excellent knowledge of the networking market, strategies, and offerings across the industry, including customers and competitors
  • Proven ability to transform analytical skills and strategic thinking into successful solution offerings
  • Very strong leadership and negotiation skills; highly collaborative work style with proven ability to gather consensus and take decisive and timely action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with senior executives, sales, account teams and program owners
  • Proven track record in sales or business development, typically demonstrated by 10+ years of senior-level experience in sales, marketing, engineering management or product management
  • University degree or equivalent experience in engineering, sales, or related field
