Position: Fleet Assets Solution Architect
Location: Toronto/ Hybrid
Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Our client, a transportation company in a regional railway space, is looking for a Fleet Assets Solution Architect who will be responsible for establishing an Azure Cloud systems architecture for the IT Systems required for rail Fleet Assets operations and maintenance that enables fast and efficient development, systems integration, continuous deployments, operations and incremental improvements. This is a full-time permanent position with great benefits and other perks.

Your New Role:

- Develop and implement a Fleet Asset solution and data strategy as an integral part of the IT Strategy and in close alignment with the Senior Manager, IT Applications, and Fleet Asset Solution Lead
- Select, implement, optimize and sustain all Fleet Asset Systems
- Establish an open NOC data standard needed to support interoperable integration architectures
- Track and evaluate the latest technology trends and implement them to perfect the Fleet Asset Systems
- Create a solution lifecycle roadmap for the Fleet Asset Systems - plan, organize, control, evaluate and improve the systems (implementation, development, operations) in alignment of evolving ONxpress needs and priorities
- Consult, advise and collaborate with senior-level stakeholders across the entire organization and contracting authority to identify business and technology needs, innovations and to perfect the use of asset data
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
- Ensure security of data within Fleet Asset Systems
- Be responsible for the supervision of Fleet Asset projects
- Implement a strong, collaborative customer-centric culture and IT service management procedures to continuously improve the Fleet Asset Systems
- Audit Fleet Asset systems and assess their outcomes
- Draw added value from lean principles, agile methods and modern forms of collaboration (BizDevOps)

Key Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects, specifically in Fleet Asset and ideally in the Rail industry
- Advanced understanding of implementing and supporting Microsoft cloud services, including any of the following: Azure Core Platform (Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure Services, Azure AD, Azure Automation and CLI, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager (strong skills needed)
- Strong understanding of more "traditional" Microsoft products, such as Windows Server, Windows, IIS, SQL Server, etc.
- Experience with automation and PowerShell scripting
- Experience working with regulated environments (FDA, GxP, HIPAA, etc.) is a strong plus but not needed
- Exposure to AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP, and other cloud services is valuable

Certifications:

- Certifications within the Microsoft stack are a plus
