Role Summary
The Strategic Customer Group (SCG) of Johnson and Johnson MedTech (JJMT) Canada drives revenue growth from 28 strategic customers (key accounts) in Canada, by partnering with healthcare system with innovative health solutions and programs. The Health System Strategies (HSS) team within SCG is responsible for establishing JJMT as the \' partner of choice\' in the Canadian healthcare system to deliver quadruple aim of reducing the cost of care, improving patient outcomes, enhancing patient and staff experience, by leveraging its most advanced technologies, health system solutions and clinically differentiated innovations.
Non-Hospital Surgical Facilities is a fast-evolving healthcare channel in Canadian healthcare system, to address significant surgical backlogs and long wait times that patients often face. The NHSF channel is established within the current public health system, and it undertakes publicly funded elective surgeries outside the hospitals. The Non-Hospital Surgical Facilities Manager (Manager - NHSF), is integral to building & delivering JJMT\'s capabilities to address needs of this evolving channel. The Manager will deeply analyze the market shift from acute care to non-acute care setting, gather insights into needs of NHSF customers and build a unique Go-to-Market (GTM) model for JJMT. The Manager will report directly to the Director of Health System Strategies and will work with a wide variety of cross-functional partners across the organization. This is an individual contributor role.
Working closely with JJMT Commercial teams, Field Sales Organization and Strategic Account Managers, the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing end-to-end national business strategy for NHSF channel, and for building internal capabilities to position JJMT as the partner of choice. The Manager will develop strategic relationships with key regional and national NHSF customers.
The Manager is accountable for creating value for customers measured by clinical outcomes, quality of care, financial performance/efficiency and any other assigned performance metrics, and patient experience. The Manager will form external alliances to augment JJMT offering for the channel, with other products and services to provide an end-to-end (E2E) solution for the NHSF customers. Internally, the Manager will work with JJMT functions to build nimble and agile enabling processes to deliver an exceptional customer experience, with high priority on contracting and transacting with JJMT.
The Manager will play a critical role in providing "voice of customer" (VOC) and insights to the organization to ensure that JJMT offering, and value proposition continue to help NHSF customers address their most pressing needs. By ensuring flawless execution of growth plans and articulating the value JJMT brings to NHSF customers, the Manager will play a critical role in establishing & accelerating JJMT lead position and growth by building long-term strategic partnerships with key NHSF customers across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Monitors the regulatory environment related to shift of surgeries from hospitals to communities, gather intelligence on competitive environment to build sustainable strategies and actions. Routinely analyzes national, and provincial health and economic trends, anticipates issues/opportunities, and develops plans of action. Gathers and analyzes public reimbursement and procurement environment for the channel.
Identifies Customer Needs/Insights: leveraging a deep understanding of the challenges facing the Canadian healthcare system as it strives to deliver excellent patient care with limited resources, the Manager will work closely with the Strategic Account Team and JJMT Franchises to identify key customer needs. The Manager will develop and execute NHSF customers insights strategies to generate data driven VOC feedback. Manager will develop and implement a customer insights communication plan to share VOC feedback and insights with internal stakeholders to inform business and SCG strategies.
Develops growth opportunities: based on deep understanding of key market trends and current healthcare challenges, the Manager will leverage JJMT broad product portfolio offering, internal functional expertise (HEMA, Professional Education etc.), digital technologies and solutions, as well as external partnerships capabilities to drive growth in NHSF accounts by addressing unmet customer and healthcare system needs. The Manager is responsible for end-to-end development and implementation of NHSF go to market model, strategies, and revenue growth opportunities. The Manager will develop NHSF channel branding, value proposition, messaging, tools and resources, promotional materials, processes etc. and will train internal stakeholders on the NHSF strategy and execution plans. The Manager will work in close collaboration with the regional NHSF teams (POD structure) and will utilize their strong leadership skills to effectively engage and align internal stakeholders to successfully deliver on regional and national NHSF channel growth opportunities. The Manager will develop relationships with key NHSF customer and external partners.
Build internal capabilities: The Manager will work closely with internal functional partners to build operational capabilities and processes to deliver an exceptional NHSF customer experience based on the culture of speed, simplicity, and agility. The Manager will work with internal business partners to develop analytical tools to collect and maintain NHSF customer information, enable channel analytics, customer segmentation, revenue mapping, performance metrics etc. The Manager with develop relationships with Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) teams in J&J US & other Global regions and will participate in Global COE events. The Manager will leverage ASC strategies from other J&J global markets and will adapt relevant initiatives to the specific unmet needs of Canadian healthcare system.
Project Management: Acting as the project manager for assigned areas of responsibility, the Manager will leverage a combination of internal and external resources to ensure a flawless execution of the national and regional NHSF strategy. The Manager will be accountable for project timelines, goals, and overall budgeted costs.
Internal Partnerships This role requires a high degree of collaboration with multiple levels of management across commercial teams and SCG leadership within N. America and other global regions. This role handles a high degree of complexity across multiple JJMT Franchises, functional areas, and strategic accounts across Canada. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to cultivate strong and positive relationships in the commercial organization, with strong abilities to influence without authority.Education: A minimum of a BS/BA is required, although advanced degree (MBA/MS) is preferred
