This vital role combines the responsibilities of ensuring smooth overnight operations with delivering exceptional guest services and nightly auditing functions in a team environment. As the first point of contact during evening hours, you'll be the welcoming face and reliable resource for our guests, ensuring their stay is comfortable, safe, and enjoyable. With a keen eye for numbers and working with spreadsheets, you will audit the daily revenues and postings. This position is well suited for an individual who enjoys working overnight and has the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing accurate information and routing calls appropriately.
Conduct nightly audits of guest accounts to ensure accuracy in billing and reservations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with a positive attitude, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills with Yes I Can! skills.
Prepare detailed shift reports, including financial summaries, incident logs, and guest feedback documentation.
Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to address guest needs swiftly and uphold hotel standards.
Qualifications
Post Secondary Education with a focus on Hospitality Management or Business is an asset
Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations; previous night audit experience is highly preferred.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Familiarity with Opera Cloud and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of guest relations practices, phone etiquette, and hotel safety procedures.
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high attention to detail.
Must reside in the Greater Vancouver Area and be legally permitted to work in Canada.
