Job Description

We are currently looking for a network architect for one of our clients. This is a permanent position, remote, travel to different sites outside Canada is expected. The salary offered varies according to experience ($100,000 to $120,000).
Your missions will be :
o Perform network design and capacity planning
o Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans to ensure the use and administration of network resources
o Perform network disaster recovery
o Establish service level agreements with users
o Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of user workstation hardware, software and peripherals
o Interact and negotiate with vendors, contractors and subcontractors to secure network products and services
o Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
o Manage network security solutions, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
o Manage all network hardware and equipment including routers, switches, hubs and access points
o Ensure network connectivity for all workstations
o Administer all hardware and software upgrades to network equipment
o Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, related documentation and technical specification information
o Perform network security audits
o Perform network backups and restores
o Monitor and test network performance
o Provide network performance statistics and reports
o Recommend, plan and execute network improvements, upgrades and repairs
o Manage and guide network team members
