The Opportunity:

As a Senior Network Architect, you will report to the Enterprise IT Manager of Network Technology Architecture & Design. This globally distributed team is comprised of network architects, and network engineers who are responsible for the architecture, design, and implementation of network services. WSPs global network is today comprised of over 1,000 offices, 29 data centres, 1,300 data circuits, and used by over 65,000 users. Qualified candidates must have several years of practical network architecture, design, and implementation experience within large multi-vendor network environments.

A day in the life:
  • Developing network service design packages that can be utilised for service transition including high-level and low-level network solution designs.
  • Producing documents and drawings, configuration policies and guidelines, testing analyses, test plans, and risk assessments.
  • Interfacing between the service design and service operation teams to ensure seamless transition of services into operations.
  • Leading the implementation of complex network designs and/or providing direction and planning to others performing implementation.
  • Providing technical guidance and assistance to the network operations team when required.
  • Conducting proof-of-concept testing and validation of new products and services.
  • Participating in the creation and evolution of an IT roadmap for the network and network security domain.
  • Seeking opportunities to automate specific tasks or workflows that can help achieve efficiencies.
  • Participating in the technical review and change review board.
  • Participating in the architecture review board.
What you\'ll bring to WSP ...
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 8-10 years relevant and practical experience performing network architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Vendor certifications not a requirement, proven practical experience preferred.
  • Experience working in large/global enterprise IT with multiple distributed branch/campus sites.
  • Experience of working within ITIL aligned Service Management organisation.
  • Practical experience with creating high- and low-level design documentation for multi-vendor network environments that include WAN, Wired & Wireless LAN, Perimeter Security, Security Services Edge (SSE), Application Delivery Controllers/ Load Balancing, Cloud Networking, and Remote Access VPN.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of Enterprise IT technologies like DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, Active Directory, Authentication, PKI.
  • Experience in architecting, designing, and implementing networks that encompass the following technologies is advantageous:
  • Software-Defined-WAN (preferably Aruba/Silver Peak)
  • Cloud Networking (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Security Service Edge (SSE) (preferably Zscaler)
  • Remote Access Solutions (preferably Cisco AnyConnect)
  • Multi-vendor LAN switching (preferably Cisco and Aruba)
  • Multi-vendor wireless LAN (preferably Cisco and Aruba)
  • Firewall technologies (preferably Palo Alto)
  • Application Delivery Controllers & Load Balancing (preferably F5 Networks)
  • Identity and Access Control Policy platform (preferably Cisco Identify Services Engine)
  • Experience in Network Automation and DevOps practices is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Ability to work independently with low-level supervision and in a global team distributed geographically.
  • Very strong organization skills (set priorities, meets deadlines, multiple simultaneous projects) and excellent documentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic problem-solving skills with the ability of providing solutions to identified problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding, designing, delivering, and demonstrating compliance with information security requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience in performing information security practices in the management and delivery of infrastructure and operations.
