This Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network infrastructure, firewalls, switches and router management and troubleshooting, holding both certifications in CCNA and Palo Alto PCNSA. What You'll Do
Manage, implement and troubleshoot national multi site LAN, WAN and firewall infrastructure based on Palo Alto and Aruba platforms.
Design, implement, and manage network and security solutions, rule logic and reporting.
Configure and maintain OSPF and BGP routing protocols with external providers to ensure optimal network performance.
Perform comprehensive network troubleshooting to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Develop and maintain network and security documentation, including diagrams and policies.
Monitor network performance and implement necessary improvements to maintain high availability.
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and security across project efforts.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network and security administration.
Assist with ticket escalation
Who You Are
Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 5 years of professional experience in network and security administration in a corporate environment mixing cloud and on premise infrastructure.
At least 3 years of active working experience with Palo Alto Panorama.
Active certifications in CCNA and Palo Alto PCNSA.
Hands-on experience with Aruba/HP/Cisco switching.
Strong expertise in configuring and managing OSPF and BGP protocols.
Proficiency in certificate issuance and management.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or similar.
Experience with other networking technologies and platforms.
Working knowledge of cloud-based networking (Azure/Entra) and security solutions.
Working knowledge of LibreNMS, Netbox, PRTG, Cisco Umbrella
