POSITION TITLE: NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

OVERVIEW:

We\'re actively seeking an experienced Network Administrator to work on multiple assignments in Central Vancouver Island, BC starting Jan 2024. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of Network Administrator experience installing, configuring, and supporting network infrastructures, including Routers and Switches, firewalls, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and other network devices. Previous experience utilizing a ticketing system (i.e., ITSM, Remedy) to troubleshoot/resolve network issues on assigned tickets would be a great asset. Location: Central Vancouver Island, BC. Candidates must be able to work in Central Vancouver Island, BC for the duration of the project. Term: Six (6) months. Strong potential of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 5 years of Network Administrator experience installing, configuring, and supporting Network Infrastructure (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet), including Routers and Switches, firewalls, wireless access points, wireless controllers, and other network devices.

• Experience providing L1/L2 support, troubleshooting connectivity and configuration issues.

• Experience utilizing ticketing system (i.e., ITSM, Remedy)

• Hands-on experience in the decommissioning of Network routers, switches, and wireless devices.

• Experience preparing and organizing new hardware prior to installation.

• Experience maintaining accurate records and documentation of network configurations, changes, and incident resolution.

• Experience in asset management - tracking, maintenance, disposal.

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.

• Must be authorized to work in Canada and be able to work in Central Vancouver Island, BC for the duration of the project.
