The incumbent will be responsible for the enterprise architecture of all campus networks including switches, routers, wireless controllers, VOIP and remote access devices as well as network systems monitoring & management support. A key responsibility is providing leadership in managing projects to completion including determining and understanding requirements, documentation & planning, providing technical solutions, strategy for implementation, and deployment. This must be accomplished adhering to IT Services standards and procedures. A key initiative is to ensure that service levels are met with a focus on customer service. This will be accomplished through excellent communication, follow up with the customer, and system stability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The employee is expected to perform duties in accordance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations including, but not limited to, wearing/using protective equipment, devices, and/or clothing. The employee is expected to report to their supervisor any safety concerns, unsafe conditions or acts and any contraventions of the Act or regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, any defects in, or the absence of, protective devices or equipment.
