Network Administrator Truro, NS Full-Time - Hybrid position (2 to 3 days at the office in Truro, NS)

What you will do as a Network Administrator:

• Develop, recommend, and implement new or updating technologies and procedures as necessary, including hardware, software operating systems and system updates;
• Repair, maintain, update and configure PC\xe2\x80\x99s, servers and network systems, routers and switches;
• Monitor system performance and upgrade the network infrastructure when required;
• Windows System Administration;
• Workstation/server hardware configuration;
• WAN/LAN routing and configuration
• Microsoft Active Directory Network architecture, including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SMTP, LDAP, WSUS, firewall configuration, etc.);
• Windows Terminal Services;
• Disaster Recovery;
• Train new system users and set up their accounts;
• Provide remote office support;
• End user software/hardware support in a LAN/WAN environment;
• Solve computer related problems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues;

Travel: Approximately 20% local, domestic or international travel may be required, possibly on short notice to meet immediate business needs.
Required Skills and Abilities:

• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training;
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Experience with Exchange 2019 (On-Prem)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, such as Group Policy Management
• Microsoft Hyper-V environments
• Cisco/ Meraki firewall/router experience considered an asset;
• Ubiquiti/UniFI Wireless networking
• Windows 10 & 11, Windows Server 2019/2022
• Understanding of networking protocols;

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Information Technology preferred;
