Position Summary

Descartes/ShipRush helps customers optimize their shipping with robust integration with various eCommerce platforms. We are a small team building shipping solutions for eCommerce (some packages you receive from Amazon/eBay are processed by our technology). Our technical stack is C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Backbone, MS SQL Server, NHibernate, Elasticsearch, Redis. https://shiprush.com/
We are looking for a Senior Developer who is interested in solving the exciting challenges of Carrier and eCommerce platform integrations while keeping the interfaces easy to use by the end users.
Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to full life-cycle application development including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing and documentation of changes to existing applications.
  • Take the lead with new projects, gathering design requirements, creating specifications, developing and seeing the project through to completion
  • Work with a team to solve problems and deliver project work for our clients
  • Learn new technologies (with support from the team) as needed to support client work
  • Create effectively tested, re-usable, and efficient code
  • Support continuous improvement by staying up-to-date on technology

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (degree in Computer Science or another engineering/scientific field preferred)
  • 5+ years as a developer
  • Strong knowledge in C#, .NET, SQL
  • Understanding of general computer science concepts, object-oriented design, refactoring, design patters and trade-offs
  • Great problem-solving skills and ability to learn independently
