JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Manager of Heritage, Lands, and Natural Resources (HLNR), the Natural Resources Manager is responsible for implementing and administering Fish and Wildlife Management, Forest Resource Management, The Mining and Field Operations and Environmental Monitoring programs for the Carcross/Tagish First Nation (C/TFN), This position is responsible for integrating the four elements of the Values and Virtues of Life (mental, emotional, spiritual and physical) into these programs. The Natural Resource Manager will ensure the programs reflect, where possible, life’s’ four stages - child, youth, adult and elder. The Natural Resource Manager must be willing to change with the ongoing evolution of C/TFN circle governance.
This position plays a critically important role in the ongoing development and fostering of Nation to Nation relationship building.
