Your role:

The National MSL Manager, Medical Affairs will manage, coach, and oversee a team of Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) across therapeutic areas (TA), collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will work with Medical Managers to adapt local Launch/Brand strategies and plans for the MSL team and oversee its implementation. You will review, consolidate, and share with Medical Managers the MSL team\'s input on relevant opinions, expert knowledge, medical insights and research and development concepts from external experts to inform, advance and potentially influence the strategic direction of the Medical Affairs department and Organization. You will also engage with internal colleagues (Medical Managers, Medical Education Manager, Sales Manager, Marketing & Commercial colleagues as appropriate) in developing, delivering and participating in MSL and/or cross-functional initiatives. You will foster a culture of scientific integrity, collaboration, innovation and accountability within the MSL team.

Location : Field Based - Canada Based

Territory : National

Travel : Ability to handle frequent travel (65%-75%)

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree with 5-8 years of experience or Master\'s Degree with 3-6 years of experience or Ph.D, DO, MD, or PharmD with 2-5 years of experience
  • Previous MSL or related pharmaceutical type position
  • Previous management experience, managing MSLs or similar
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Secondary / advanced scientific degree (e.g., MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD)
  • Scientific and / or clinical training in area of relevance to position strongly preferred
  • Advanced English language competency with fluency in French as an asset
  • Excellent management, leadership, teamwork, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in building and motivating teams in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work remotely and foster team relationships in field-based settings
  • Experience in working in an environment that integrates all business unit functions
  • Knowledge and application of business planning and leadership principles, such as goal setting, action plans, monitoring tools, directive and supportive techniques to develop and implement action plans
  • Master communicator to external stakeholders and peers, in both1-1 and group settings
  • Ability to foster ongoing and productive relationships with external stakeholders and throughout the organization
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and teamwork skills
