About the Role
Cassie + Friends is looking for a strategic, results-driven, and experienced National Fundraising Manager to build on our charity's successes and help us realize our mission. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead, enrich, and expand our fund development and donor engagement activities to bring new attention to this critically underfunded area of children's health.

Your success in this role will be supported by a dedicated and talented team consisting of two Programs staff, a Data Specialist, a Knowledge Mobilization Manager, and a growing community of volunteers. In addition to demonstrated success in fundraising , sharp relationship-building, presentation, and writing skills, you have the creativity and drive needed to immediately contribute to strategizing, planning, and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program rooted in both current successes and new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a diversified fundraising strategy to increase annual revenue beyond $1M , with a focus on expanding sustainable funding from individuals, corporate sponsors, foundations, and community fundraising initiatives.
• Lead and grow Cassie + Friends' national Team C+F Run/Walk Program , currently raising $300,000+ annually across 11 events , to increase participation, engagement, and revenue.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing donors, sponsors, and key stakeholders to enhance long-term engagement and giving.
• Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, including major gifts ($10K+), grants, and corporate partnerships .
• Develop compelling fundraising appeals, proposals, and stewardship materials to retain and grow donor contributions .
• Oversee donor recognition and stewardship activities, ensuring meaningful engagement and retention .
• Utilize data-driven insights to assess fundraising performance, track key metrics, and optimize strategies for greater impact.
• Support volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and leverage community ambassadors to expand donor networks.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop high-impact fundraising campaigns and donor storytelling initiatives .
• Stay informed on emerging fundraising trends, donor behaviours, and best practices to continually improve and innovate Cassie + Friends' fundraising efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit revenue development , with a track record of exceeding revenue targets .
• Proven ability to grow and manage fundraising programs , including large-scale events, corporate sponsorships, and major gifts.
• Strong demonstrated success in donor stewardship, prospect research, and closing significant funding opportunities .
• Ability to identify high-ROI opportunities and execute strategies to maximize revenue.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to craft persuasive proposals, presentations, and donor outreach materials .
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Canva ; experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is an asset .
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Creative thinker with a passion for innovation in fundraising.
• Knowledge of the healthcare, pediatric, or chronic illness fundraising landscape is an asset but not required.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
• Ability to attend in-person events and meetings as required.
