Position Overview
The National Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the organization's facilities including all retail stores, corporate offices and distribution sites. This role ensures that all properties are safe, efficient, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The National Facilities Manager will lead facilities staff and external service providers, manage budgets, and implement best practices in property management.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Site Facilities Management & Operations
Oversee facilities operations, maintenance, and compliance across all our retail stores, offices, and warehouses
Ensure consistency of standards, procedures, and service delivery across all locations.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Coordinate store openings, renovations, relocations, and closures, ensuring timely execution and adherence to brand and operational standards.
Develop scalable facilities management practices and approaches.
Lead emergency preparedness, security, and business continuity planning across locations.
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and develop facilities staff, contractors, and service providers.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service across all facilities teams.
Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management for direct reports and site-level facilities contacts.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
Develop and manage the facilities operating and capital budgets across multiple regions.
Standardize vendor and supplier contracts to drive cost efficiency and consistency nationwide.
Identify opportunities for cost savings, energy efficiency, and sustainability
Vendor & Contract Management
Negotiate and oversee service agreements with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Track and maintain renewals of contracts including go to market activities when appropriate and necessary.
Ensure vendor performance meets quality, cost, and service standards in diverse geographical markets.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, including at least 3 years overseeing multi-site retail or commercial properties.
Skills & Competencies:
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Strong budgeting, financial management, and contract negotiation experience.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across diverse regions.
