Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ECA Instructor to join our team. We are looking for a ECA Instructor with hands on experience and who has a deep understanding of navigating a changing job market for up and coming ECA Students

Responsibilities

Follow and implement lesson plans outlined by both the college and the NACC Board Organize and direct students in instructor run classes for both in person and online sessions. Mark and assess student skills and attendance and record information in accordance to established NACC and Ontario Career College Standards Communicate deadlines, requirements and important information to students though a variety of mediums including verbally, in text, and more Provide administrators and other college staff with updates and keep members of the team appraised of students issues and requirements Troubleshoot and assist with students facing technical issues during hybrid classes

Skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an understandable manner. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in lesson planning and record keeping. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes, including online learning platforms and educational software. A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous teaching or instructional experience is preferred but not required; a passion for education is essential. Educational Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a registered institution in Canada with a minimum of five (5) years current working experience as an Early Childhood Educator in Canada and current membership in the provincial association for Early Childhood Educators. The instructor must also meet the qualification standards as set by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Formal training and/or experience in teaching adults in an education setting is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6-12 months

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
