Job Description

The Mission Public School District is located on the traditional, ancestral, unsurrendered, and shared territories of Sto:lo people, of Leq'a:mel, Sema:th, Mathxwi, Sq'ewlets and Qwo:ltl'el First Nations, stewards of this land since time immemorial.


Halq'emeylem is the language of this land and of Sto:lo ancestors. The place from where Halq'emeylem (Upriver dialect) originates is Leq'a:mel. The language comes from the land, and it has been this way since time immemorial.

School: Hatzic Elementary School


Position: Music Teacher


FTE: .40 - Tuesday and Wednesday


Grade: Elementary


Status: Continuing


Start Date: September 2, 2025







Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Music or extensive course work in Music Education Training and/or experience at the elementary school level Orff training, Level 1 or higher Training and/or experience in dance and drama an asset Ability to teacher choir an asset

General Duties:



Provision of instruction as required

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $59,711-$109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
