We are an independent music collective building a new boutique label, and we are looking for an experienced
Music Label Operations & Strategy Manager
to help lead the business and operational side of multiple artist projects.
Our team currently includes videographers and creators, and we are preparing to release a large catalogue of music across six different artist projects (including my own). Instead of signing to an existing label, we are building our own structure -- and we need someone who can guide the vision, manage operations, and help us grow into a fully functioning, professional indie label.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage release strategies for multiple artists and projects
Coordinate all business operations: registrations, metadata, distribution, publishing, PROs, copyright, release schedules, etc.
Oversee marketing and promotion plans (not social media management -- strategy-level direction)
Identify opportunities for amplification: partnerships, promotion, press, playlisting, and radio
Assist with booking and live show logistics (experience in booking is a strong asset)
Maintain communication with artists, producers, distributors, and external partners
Create systems, workflows, and structures to support a growing catalog
Help shape the overall vision of the label and ensure projects move forward smoothly
Track performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed
Qualifications
Experience working at a music label, management company, distributor, or in music marketing/promotion
Strong understanding of release strategy, distribution platforms, and publishing rights
Experience coordinating multiple projects at once
Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to lead workflows
Comfortable in a startup-like environment where you help build processes from the ground up
Good understanding of booking or live music promotion is a major plus
Passion for independent music and helping artists grow long-term careers

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.46 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
