Municipal Enforcement Officer Full-Time, Permanent Competition Number: TOP-400-008 Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Foreperson of Municipal Enforcement, the duties of this position include the enforcement of Town regulations including, but not limited to traffic, nuisance, animal control, occupancy and maintenance. Qualifications
College Diploma in Municipal Law Enforcement with two (2) years experience in a related field;
Working knowledge of municipal by-laws is required;
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with various stakeholder groups including members of the public, external agencies, elected officials, and other city staff with a customer minded approach and excellent communication skills;
Experience in legal note-taking, the preparation of written reports, and serving legal documents;
Experience with database software, preferably in an enforcement environment;
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training acceptable to the Town.
Willingness to work a varied shift schedule;
Valid drivers\' license.
Successful candidates will be required to submit:
First Aid certificate
Clear Certificate of Conduct / Vulnerable Sector check
Satisfactory driver\'s abstract
This is a full-time, permanent unionized position working 40 hours per week. The salary for this position is based on an annual salary scale of $52,916.33 - $66,145.42 as per the Collective Agreement.
