About Our Opportunity

We are looking to transform the way we serve our citizens and to strengthen our team with the addition of a MS Power Platform and Dynamics Senior Solutions Architect. This position is part of the Digital Platforms team that builds and operates reusable software services supporting the delivery of modern digital experiences to Nova Scotians.

As the MS Power Platform and Dynamics Solution Architect, you will report to the Manager, Emerging Platforms and be part of an empowered multi-disciplinary team working alongside product managers, senior architects, developers, and product associates, working in collaboration, and working in the open on complex digital products. You will architect and champion the development, continuous improvement, and support of Power Platform environments and D365 (formerly Dynamics CRM) technology instances.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Use your extensive product knowledge to architect, define, document, present, and implement effective Power Platform and Dynamics CRM/365 solutions
  • Champion Power Platform and Dynamics CRM/D365 and potentially Power Platform solutions through defined architecture and technical review processes
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams. Work with product managers, service designers, and end users to develop a deep understanding of the user needs to help define and build Power Platform and Dynamics solutions
  • Understanding user needs and implementing common shared platform components
  • Collaborate with your team and clients to identify client needs through interviews, workshops, and requirements analysis, define a solution to meet those needs and implement a working, timely solution
  • Understand, diagnose, and recommend solutions for specific functional and technical challenges
  • Implement Power Platform and Dynamics CRM solutions leveraging out of the box capabilities, configuration, and customization
  • Use Agile methods for product delivery, including daily stand-ups, working in sprints, working through a backlog in tools such as Jira, delivering minimum viable products and continuous improvement
  • Supporting delivery of digital services, including work break down structures, scoping, resource planning, time, and financial estimates for delivering platform solutions
  • Lead functional, technical analysis and documentation activities
  • Tier 3 support for Power Platform and Dynamics D365 platform and solutions
  • Understand, evolve, and augment team best practices
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional development
What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and/or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree plus Five (5) or more years of experience implementing CRM or case management solutions in large and complex environments, with three (3) or more years experience with Power Platform and Dynamics CRM and/or D365 (or the equivalent combination of training and experience).

Experience in:
  • Power Platform and Dynamics CRM / 365 solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and design
  • Experience working in an agile manner within a multidisciplinary team
  • Deep understanding of platform integration patterns and APIs, system integrations, software engineering patterns, development of architectural/high level designs within defined architectural frameworks and software engineering patterns
  • Proven experience in designing complex integration of multiple systems
  • Experience with project problem diagnosis, solution development, client communications, facilitation of decision making, documentation, managing client expectations and team leadership
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and Exchange
Knowledge and experience in the following would be an asset:
  • Experience working with public sector
  • Experience working in an agile manner within a multidisciplinary team
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics Fundamentals (CRM)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Expert
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Understanding accessibility requirements in solution design
  • Shifting organizational culture of development teams to one of continuous product improvement and the reduction of silos between the development and operation of software

Salary Range: $3,001.65 - $3,525.41 Bi-Weekly
