About your next Challenge as a MRB ENG in Repair and Liaison Engineering Group :

MRB ENG CF-18 / CT-114 liaison for both the AMO (Approved Maintenance Organization) of Mirabel and the MOBs (Military Operating Bases). The main mandate is to: Provide technical support to technicians regarding discrepancies/damage/wear observed by inspectors and maintenance technicians; evaluate and participate in the design of dispositions; ensure the viability of engineering solution/repair instructions through stress analysis, if required, as well as satisfaction of repairs against airworthiness requirements and customer requests. These tasks are carried out in close collaboration with the airworthiness authorities.

What You Will Do:

• Read and understand manufacturing and modification drawings;
• Investigate faulty or damaged components and assemblies to determine their causes;
• Design repair solutions to restore "fit, form and function" as well as the structural integrity of the damaged structure;
• Interpret and integrate data, loading modes and safety factors according to established specifications and standards (MIL-STD, PS or others), and validate design criteria;
• Determine engineering dispositions requiring the involvement of specialists (avionic, material and process, systems, etc.);
• Participate in the airworthiness principles (classify or categorise damage (minor / major));
• Support activities related to the incorporation of repairs and modifications;
• Act as an intermediary with the managers (engineering, technicians, etc.), the aircraft maintenance / repair team and the engineering team for any derogation issues;
• Validate the data provided by the inspectors and supervise the preparation of non-conformity reports (DRED);
• Be a technical expert in the liaison field of the CF-18 and CT-114 with MRB ENG and Airworthiness (DT) signing authorities.
• Have a good knowledge of RCAF and DTAES organizations in order to be able to guide technical discussions with the customer and the airworthiness authorities;
• Master the processes relating to liaison engineering, design and development of modifications and fleet management, in order to ensure compliance and be able to participate in their improvement;
• Participate in updates/revisions of the CFTO content.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Bachelor\'s degree in mechanical engineering, aeronautics or equivalent experience required;
• Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in aeronautics required;
• Experience on the CF-18 and CT-114 platforms is an significant asset;
• Experience as an MRB Eng and with Airworthiness principles are an asset;
• Master one or more of the following software:MSOffice, CATIA, SAP;
• Ability to read drawings;
• Bilingualism is an asset (French and English);
• Experience with military and / or military specifications and standards.
• Experience in manufacturing / repairing composite materials an asset;
• Experience in production or maintenance environment required;
• Hold a NATO Secret security clearance or be eligible for this rating on short notice.
• Soft skill: being a team player, resourceful, organized, being capable to prioritize in a short delay environment

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada \xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9cReliability\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x9d status and/or Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
• For on-site positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required
