Fairtrust is a well-established mortgage firm dedicated to providing personalized and efficient mortgage solutions to our clients. We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Assistant to join our team and help ensure smooth and efficient processing of mortgage files.
Responsibilities of a Mortgage Assistant:
File Preparation and Management:
Assist in organizing and preparing mortgage files for processing.
Ensure all required documents and information are collected, verified, and properly filed.
Track and manage the progress of each mortgage file, ensuring timely completion of each stage.
Document Review and Verification:
Review mortgage documents for accuracy and completeness, verifying information provided by clients and third parties.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Communicate with clients to request missing or additional documentation as needed.
Communication and Customer Support:
Serve as a point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of their application status.
Respond promptly to client inquiries, providing updates and answering questions about the mortgage process.
Coordinate communication between clients, lenders, underwriters, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the mortgage process.
Data Entry and Maintenance:
Accurately input and update client information in the company's mortgage processing system.
Maintain accurate and current records throughout the lifecycle of each mortgage file.
Scheduling and Coordination:
Schedule appointments and meetings for mortgage team members with clients and third parties.
Coordinate with appraisers, title companies, and other service providers to ensure timely delivery of required services.
Compliance and Quality Control:
Follow company guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure high standards of compliance.
Assist in quality control by conducting periodic checks on mortgage files to prevent errors or inconsistencies.
General Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative assistance, including preparing correspondence, filing, and handling incoming calls.
Assist mortgage specialists with additional tasks and projects as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with mortgage or financial services preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and mortgage processing software (if applicable).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
