You will be required to work in Mississauga and the Region of Halton. Preference will be given to candidates that can work at both locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting enforcement patrols where you will enforce compliance with the Region of Halton by-laws, investigate by-law infractions, Issue parking tickets, and assist in and prepare related evidence for court.If you are not a certified MLEO you can complete the course upon joining the company.Description of Duties:

• Perform vehicular monitoring activities to ensure compliance with the posted guidelines at parking facilities and issue notices to vehicles, not in compliance

• Ability to issue parking tickets that may be handwritten or electronic computerized

• Ability to bend so as to facilitate the chalking of vehicle tires

• Attend Parking Court as required to defend parking tickets issued

• Work in all weather conditions

• Drive a company vehicle for 8+ hour shifts

• Ability to navigate to unfamiliar locations using GPS or mapping program

• Effective communication via e-mail, cell phone, written reports & notebooks.

• Communicate with emergency services

• Ability to learn, interpret and appropriately apply City By-laws.

• Complete all forms and reports as specifically directed

• Report any incidents or deficiencies immediately to the Manager or Supervisor

• Providing a high level of customer service to all clients and patrons

Assets:-Certificate / Appointments as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer (MLEO) in any municipality to issue municipal parking tickets on private property.The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills. They will be strong logical thinkers that can solve problems quickly. The ability to provide customer service and maintain high standards would be considered an asset. Availability for all shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) would also be considered an asset.*Due to insurance requirements, preference will be given to applicants over the age of 25 and a clean driving record.*A Police Background Check is a job requirement and must not have any criminal charges or convictions that would relate to your selection for this position.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
