SSR Mining \xe2\x80\x93 Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Mine Planner.

About Your New Role:

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Engineering, the Mine Planner, is responsible for creating, designing and developing best practices regarding mining engineering processes, procedures and practices to support the success of departmental targets. The Mine Planner has a diverse skill set that allows them to support various mine-engineering positions (planning and scheduling, ventilation, ground control, services and projects). The Mine Planner will role model a safety program that promotes a culture of safety and health of all employees working in and/or with the Technical Services Department.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Create a strong safety culture through engagement and empowering others.

Create professional short to medium-term planning strategies and provide execution guidance to mining processes.

Analyzing data and providing technical documentation to support decision-making.

Work closely with UG Operations General Forman & Supervisors to track & maintain schedules.

Provide project planning services for the underground and technical departments.

Work with Technical and Operations Teams on capital equipment appropriation documentation.

Assist the survey department with Stope reconciliation survey and data analysis for the month end process.

Assist the mine planning team in short term planning duties with a focus on Longhole design.

Assist in the preparation of short and medium range schedules.

Maintaining and updating production & development database, mine development drawings, mine level plans and long-sections.

Interaction with entire Technical Services team to ensure team focus.

Adhering to programs, systems, and procedures in mine survey and design.

Updating current technical services policies, procedures and systems as required.

Engagement in all engineering functions and ensuring that service and operating guidelines are executed with excellence.

Alignment with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s SHEMS system as it applies to the Technical Services Department.

As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must possess a security screening document or equivalent document as defined by The Mines Regulations, 2018. The successful candidate will be required to maintain their security screening document or equivalent document throughout their employment at their own expense and will be required to provide confirmation of same and advise the employer of any changes to, revocation of or suspension of their security screening document during the term of their employment.

Your Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent interpersonal/relationship skills - ability to work and communicate with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization, written and oral.

High attention to detail, strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills.

Proven ability to effectively prioritize duties and solve problems.

The ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

A positive and proactive attitude towards teamwork and safety.

Your Education and Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

Certificate or Diploma of Technology in Mine Engineering or a related field.

Underground related mining experience would be considered an asset.

Experience with Deswik, Deswik.Ops, AutoCad, Mine Mark up and MineCAD would be considered an asset, must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

About Our Working Conditions:

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
