We're looking for a driven and collaborative Mine Construction Lead to guide and grow our closure and grouting practice while leading project delivery. Responsibilities Will Include:



Leading closure and grouting projects end-to-end, including scope development, resourcing, schedules, budgets, and deliverable quality. Serving as the technical and project lead for execution planning, strategies, and risk assessments. Guiding development of deliverables (plans, cost estimates, schedules, monitoring/maintenance plans, and regulatory submission content). Overseeing closure approaches for underground and surface elements as applicable (shafts/adits/openings, backfilling, demolition, earthworks, water management, site stabilization, and long-term public safety controls). Coordinating with environmental, geotechnical, civil, hydrogeology, and permitting teams. Managing and contributing to financial assurance / liability estimates, ensuring assumptions are clear, consistent, and auditable. Supporting business development: identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and building strong client relationships. Engaging with regulators, Indigenous communities, and stakeholders to support project scope and objectives. Mentoring and developing team members, strengthening internal tools/templates, and contributing to continuous improvement. Overseeing construction operations relating to mine closure and grouting. Participating in site visits and field reviews as required, with a strong commitment to health and safety. Assisting with other general responsibilities to support project and business needs.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Saskatchewan (or another Canadian jurisdiction). 10+ years of progressive experience in mine closure planning, reclamation engineering, grouting, or related mine lifecycle disciplines, with demonstrated project leadership. Experience producing and defending cost estimates/financial assurance and supporting regulatory deliverables. Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a consulting environment. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including comfort presenting to clients and stakeholders. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the broader team. Ability to travel to sites and client locations (as needed).
